Strategic and business planning is the process of defining or evolving an organization’s strategy and direction, conducting a situational analysis, then plotting a course of action and making decisions in support of the strategy.  Strategic planning typically includes defining:  what the organization will do; for whom the organization will do it; and, how it will be done to achieve success.  Strategic plans will plot an organization’s direction in the short, medium and long term, providing a pliable roadmap, outlining goals, targets and objectives for stakeholder to follow.
