Our story
Cistel was started in 1995 by founder Nishith Goel. Although our processes and operations have grown and adapted over time, our values and commitment to providing complete technology and managing consulting services have remained the same. We continue to grow and evolve to meet the new demands on companies to support their business and their people.
Today, Cistel has offices in Canada and the US. We employ over 80 team members and partner with an extended network of independent IT resources to contribute positively to our clients’ success.

Cistel has been providing Managed Services to clients for over 25 years. Our current managed services include:
- Complete IT Management Services: Our IT Management Services provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and administration of IT functions so that our clients can focus on delivering their core business. We strive to make IT as reliable as dial tone. This service includes all devices found in a typical small business such as computers, phones, tablets, firewalls, routers, switches, WAPs, servers, SAN, NAS, Backup and DR system, as well as the administration of Cloud services. The Cistel IT Management service is customizable to the specific client’s requirements and can include some or all of the following:
- 24x7x365 Bilingual remote user support
- Automated monitoring of critical IT systems/services
- Core IT infrastructure support and management (on-premise and cloud)
- Onsite deskside user support
- Yearly IT assessments
- Power Apps Maintenance Services: Managing the lifecycle of a portfolio of Microsoft Power Apps requires a new view of support and technical debt. Cistel provides long term support for Microsoft Power Apps based applications including:
- Break-fix troubleshooting and support
- Monthly usage reports, issue and problem reporting
- Continuous monitoring of updates and proactive identification, impact analysis and planning to remediate and mitigate any deprecations to the portfolio
- Evergreening by experts who assess the application portfolio quarterly to determine if there are stability, speed or cost saving enhancements that could be deployed
